Creating “Mushy Mouse”: My Drawing Technique
To bring my “Mushy Mouse” illustration to life, I start with a rough outline using a harder charcoal pencil.
From there, I layer and blend various shades of charcoal and graphite, as well as rubbers and smudging stumps to achieve the desired tones and textures.
I’m elated with how the piece turned out – it’s definitely one of my favorites to date.
Creating Depth in “Mushy Mouse” Illustration:
During the drawing process of “Mushy Mouse” I had a fascinating time. I experience experimenting with various techniques to create a 3D effect.
The composition consisted of leaves in the foreground, the mouse and mushroom in the middle, and a blurred background. I like the way in which it adds depth to the piece.
